Phoenix Zoo

The Phoenix Zoo is home to more than 3,000 animals, with nearly 400 species represented, including many threatened/endangered species. There is so much to be learned about the animals that live here, and we encourage you to explore!

In addition to learning from a visit to the Zoo and our animal fact sheets, our camps and programs offer opportunities for further onsite learning and fun! The animals that live at the Zoo and in the wild are endlessly intriguing and inspiring, and will leave you with a greater understanding and care for the natural world.

Honolulu Zoo

The Honolulu Zoo is a 42-acre zoo in Queen Kapiʻolani Park in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, US. It is the only zoo in the United States to be established by grants made by a sovereign monarch and is built on part of the 300-acre royal Queen Kapiʻolani Park.

Busch Gardens Tampa Florida

We were fortunate enough to be invited to visit Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida. Their park is a fantastic mixture of adventure with the roller coasters and a Zoo on steroids! The safari adventure is fantastic, and the sky tram gives you a great view of all the animals and adventure there at the park. They have a few bird exhibits showcasing some beautiful birds, including a walk in aviary with many fowl, a male Lady Amherst Pheasant and many amazing colorful Lorikeets.
